  • Logistics Specialist
    Tracking shipments from supplier to factory and communicating with relevant stakeholders. Main areas of responsibility: completing the shipment tracking, customer clearance for importation, communication with brokers, comparing shipping cost, POD documentation, claim filing, providing shipment information during auditing process.

    Main Areas of Responsibility
    o Assist the VP to develop robust transportation plans to ensure timely delivery of shipments
    o Implement and manage a logistics information system (real time visibility) to track the location and status of goods
    o Manage transportation process, monitor shipping activities, escalate as required and implement corrective actions to maintain timely product delivery
    o Manage shipping process complaints and claims, escalate as required, conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures/actions to minimise future occurrences
    o Process and review carrier invoices and documentation and analyse transportation costs and controls
    o Monitor and evaluate performance of transportation vendors to agreed KPI’s (including OTD, costs, customer satisfaction) and make recommendations on preferred vendors
    o Prepare and submit import/export documents to customs on a timely basis and maintain compliance with relevant regulations
    o Cooperate with customs to complete clearance procedures and resolve/escalate any issues (including environmental or regulatory) for import/export cargo to ensure efficient clearance
    o Evaluate and optimise the use of customs brokers and freight forwarders globally
    o Coordinate with other relevant departments including warehouse, QA, production and finance to ensure goods are delivered on time and in good condition
    o Assist with booking materials on ERP, inventory control and property management procedures
    General Areas of Responsibility
    o Carry out all duties and responsibilities to the company standard within the timescales required
    o Maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
    o Maintain compliance with QMS policies and procedures
    o Maintain compliance with GDPR and Cyber Security policies and procedures
    o Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as required
