  • Warehouse / Logistics Manager
    To lead the warehouse and logistics department in the overall delivery of the company’s strategic objectives. Manage all processes, activities and resource (staff and equipment) to ensure on time delivery to both internal and external customers while working in accordance with the company standards relating to Quality, Regulatory and H&S.

    Main Areas of Responsibility
    o Management of the entire warehouse and logistics operation along with all staff across sites.
    o Ensure that all raw material is delivered to and between sites in time to support manufacturing requirements and customer demand ensuring business delivers On Time In Full targets.
    o Maintaining stock inventory and retrieval systems through effective use of ERP system ensuring relevant processes in place such as cycle counts to support stock accuracy and principles of FIFO.
    o Investigate stock discrepancies fully to root cause to ensure site efficiency not impacted
    o Full responsibility for business stock levels, status, accuracy and movement to ensure sufficient material for manufacturing requirements, successful stock takes and audit ready status.
    o Inspecting and approving the quality and quantity of goods or equipment received and shipped
    o Ensure effective warehouse and logistics procedures are in place within QMS system that facilitates goods in, order picking and distribution of goods to internal departments and customers.
    o Ownership and accountability of all warehouse and logistics related documentation within QMS system ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP and ISO13485
    o Management of 3rd party warehousing partners and control of material movements through these, to ensure aligned with ERP system and any environmental control requirements of the material.
    o Responsibility for department vehicles (FLT, Van) and yard management processes and practices.
    o Scheduling of 3rd party logistics transport to move business material between sites and customers.
    o Maintain department KPI’s, interpret data and trends, implement strategies, policies, equipment and procedures as required to improve stock accuracy, delivery to customer and eliminate waste
    o Delivers and fosters continuous improvement culture by actively leading / participating in the improvement of department processes through the use of lean tools and techniques
    o Effectively manage resource and equipment levels to meet the customers SLA’s
    General Areas of Responsibility
    o Carry out all duties and responsibilities to the company standard within the timescales required.
    o Maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
    o Maintain compliance with QMS policies and procedures.
    o Maintain compliance with GDPR and Cyber Security policies and procedures.
    o Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as required.
